Kremasti beach is located only 12 km southwest of Rhodes town and it is one of the largest settlements of the island. The beach is a charming mixture of golden sand and small pebbles and stretches for 10 km reaching the area of Theologos.
Its crystal clear waters and the natural environment create an idyllic scenery. Kremasti beach is less crowded compared to the other beaches closer to Rhodes town. However, there are parts where the beach is very busy but this is a result of its tourist development. There are several beach taverns and restaurants offering some of the best meals.
The settlement of Kremasti has some quite interesting spots to see like the Panagia Kremasti church, dedicated to Virgin Mary, where the name of the village comes from. The Valley of Butterflies situated near the beach is a place worth visiting.
A small tour of the village is necessary in order to see the traditional houses with the lovely big gardens and the colorful flowers decoration. The ruins of the Venetian Castle offer a great view of the whole area and it is one of the most interesting spots in the village.
