Lothiarika beach is located 52 km south east of Rhodes town. It is actually a quiet and picturesque stretch of pebbles with crystal-blue waters. The beach is close to the town of Lindos, one of the most popular destinations of Rhodes that boasts of many valuable archeological sites.
Lardos is located 3 km from Lothiarika, the closest village to the beach. Little roads wind their way from the main street of the village to the beach. Hotels, rooms to rent, bars, taverns and cafes dot the surrounding area and provide a host of food and entertainment options.
The beach also offers a variety of water sports and is an ideal get away for tourists who prefer less-crowded beaches. The pristine waters of the beach, which has been awarded with the Blue Flag and the areas surrounding it are pretty unspoilt and have been the centre for several environmental activities, like cleaning-up campaigns and seminars. Interestingly enough, buildings in the region have been carefully designed to harmonize with the natural environment.
