Kolymbia beach is a quiet resort, one of the most beautiful of the island. It is a small natural bay located in the eastern coast of the island, about 26 km south of Rhodes Town. It is one of the many organized pebbled beaches of Rhodes, with umbrellas, sundecks and a great variety in water sports. The crystal clear waters combined with the green background are a huge appeal to the visitors and a great theme for their photos.
The best way to enter the settlement is by the Efkalipto Street, a verderous road with high eucalyptus. Today it is a popular spot for a lot of families and it is easily accessed by the Seven Sources, a dreamy location located 6km away. Although the beach has a rapid tourist development during the last years, it remains a calm and peaceful beach without the bustling crowd of the other known beaches in Rhodes. If you drive only 6 km north to the settlement, you may visit the Monastery of Paramithia.
